Independent brand component suppliers are fighting hard, breaking through the technical difficulties of auto automatic transmission assembly, and are struggling on the road to industrialization. In the context of the greatest need for industry support, the International Seminar on the Industrialization of China's Auto Automatic Transmission and China Gear Transmission Industry Development Forum was held in Wuxi, Jiangsu from August 11-12. This meeting revealed a positive signal: All parties are following the trend and are working from different perspectives to support the development of the industrialization of autonomous automatic transmissions.
The leading role of autonomous vehicle companies is great
Without the drive of independent vehicle companies, my country's automatic transmission industrialization will inevitably be difficult to achieve.
In recent years, the overall sales of self-owned brand automakers' automatic transmission vehicles have grown rapidly at an annual rate of 10%. This provides industrialization space for autonomous automatic transmissions. The progress made by suppliers is precisely driven by independent vehicle companies.
Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. has broken through the technical difficulties of DCT assembly in three and a half years with its international talent team. Since the product was put on the market for more than a year, it has been equipped with Great Wall WEY cars, and has created a cumulative sales of 400,000 units. Currently, Great Wall is further optimizing the development of second-generation DCTs and high-efficiency powertrains that meet the needs of new energy vehicles.
Zhejiang Wanliyang Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Walliyang”) takes CVT and AT technology routes as the development direction of automatic transmission. While successfully developing CVT25 and 6AT, it simultaneously develops hybrid automatic transmission products.
Wanliyang CVT and AT have strategic customers such as Geely and Chery. “At present, more than 10 models of 3 independent vehicle companies equipped with Wanliyang CVT19 have been sold to the market, and more than 10 models of 4 independent vehicle companies equipped with Wanliyang CVT25 are undergoing intense endurance tests and preparations for summer calibration. Among them, there are also 6 models of 3 independent vehicle companies that are technically connecting with Wanliyang CVT25.” Wanliyang President Gu Yongting introduced at the meeting.
It is precisely because of having strategic customers such as Geely and Chery, which are independent vehicle companies, that Wan Liyang has the confidence to accelerate the industrialization of automatic transmissions. According to the plan, from 2017 to 2019, Wanliyang CVT sales will reach 500,000 units; 2020 will reach 900,000 units; in 2021, CVT sales will reach 1.4 million units, AT and EDS (electronic differential locks) sales will reach 600,000 units station.
Shengrui Transmission Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Shengrui”) 8AT customers are companies such as Landwind, FAW, Hanteng, Jinbei, Baojun, BAIC Yinxiang, Lifan, Chery and Mustang, all of which are independent brand car companies. Among them, Shengrui 8AT has mass-produced 9 models for 4 independent vehicle companies, with a cumulative production and sales of 180,000 units.
Driven by independent vehicle companies, Shengrui automatic transmission has developed rapidly. Chen Peng, deputy general manager of Shengrui, said at the meeting: "We have formed an 8-speed automatic transmission (front drive), an 8-speed automatic transmission (four-wheel drive), an 8-speed automatic transmission (start-stop), and an 8-speed hybrid automatic transmission. , 6-speed hybrid automatic transmission, 13-speed automatic transmission (front drive) six product series."
Driven by independent vehicle companies, Shengrui has the courage to formulate the following plan: In the second half of 2018, 8AT will support 9 new vehicles of 7 vehicle companies on the market; the third generation of 8AT will adopt a series of advanced technologies. Put into production in October; the fourth-generation 8AT uses a torsion oscillator instead of a torque converter, and will be put into production in June 2020; 8HT (8-speed hybrid automatic transmission) will be put into production in December 2019, and 6HT will be put into production in June 2020; The vertical development strategy is to realize the platformization from 8AT to 13AT, from 6HT to 8HT, and from reducer to electric drive system; the horizontal development strategy is to realize from 200N·m to 1000N·m, from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive, from front The vertical automatic transmission product development plan meets the multi-level needs of the market. It is reported that Shengrui has formed an annual production capacity of 250,000 8AT units, is building an annual production capacity of 300,000 8AT units, and plans to build an annual production capacity of 500,000 8AT units.
Great Wall, Shengrui and Wanliyang automatic transmission industrialization situation indicates that relying on the support of independent vehicle companies, the industrialization of autonomous automatic transmission will have a future.
